Become A Certified Pesticide Applicator


CARTS

Become a certified pesticide applicator, registered technician or earn pesticide recertification credits. The Michigan Green Industry Association, consulting with the Michigan Department of Agriculture, will be offering an intensive 3  day training program.

Would you like to become a Registered Technician? Attend this 3-day program (March 15-17) covering a complete review of the CORE manual, along with hands-on individual demonstration training. To insure proper training, to become a registered technician, your company must have a current Trained Trainer from the Michigan Department of Agriculture on staff. The CORE exam will be administered onsite by the Michigan Department of Agriculture in the afternoon of March 17.

Cost: Members $225 Non-M ember $275

Would you like to become a certified applicator? Attend this 3 day course (March 15, 16 & 17) that includes extensive review of the ÇORE manual, along with hands-on demonstrative training and category specific training (3A, 3B and/or 6). . The CORE & category exams will be administered onsite by the Michigan Department of Agriculture (MDA) in the afternoon of March 17. Cost does NOT include study manuals.

Cost: Members $ 250 Non-Member $290

Are you certified and interested in earning recertification credits? Avoid taking the recertification test every 3 years by earning credits for commercial/ Private CORE and categories (3A, 3B & 6). Certified applicators can earn recertification credits on each day, March 15, 16 & 17. Awarded credits are listed below.

Cost per day: Members $75 Non Members $95

3/15 7-MDA (Commercial or Private CORE)
3/16 4-MDA (Commercial CORE, 2 (3B) and 2 (6)
3/17 3 MDA (3A)

All fees include continental breakfast and lunch each day. Study manuals are optional and can be purchased for an additional charge. Michigan Department of Agriculture (MDA charges an additional fee ($75 certified applicator and $45 registered technician) payable to the State of Michigan on March 17, prior to taking the exam.
